8th April 2009, Wednesday – As a sequel to the first management KPI meeting in January, the 1st Quarter review took place. This is so that the management team can brief each other of their progress, various obstacles faced and the general pace at which their departments are moving as well as to remind each other the importance of achieving the KPI standards. In a way, to motivate departments to move in the same direction.

The KPI meeting was held at Plaza Sutera Biru, with individual department presentations delivered. In depth discussions were carried out in between intervals of the presentations. The meeting proved to be very informative and insightful, with new light shed on some pressing points that were hindering the overall progress. One such significant issue was the inefficiency or

inaccuracy of raising concerns over post-booked work orders, which have financial implications if left unattended to.

On a more positive note, the review uncovered significant achievements, which on a normal basis would have gone unnoticed. Such achievements included the rate of PAKATs issued, 165 (April) being the highest rate ever recorded on a monthly basis. Day Sales Outstanding has improved significantly. Operations struck its achievement in completing all its pre-agreed campaigns before the stated deadlines, entitling the company a one-up on the KPI meter.

The meeting ended on a high note with the signing of the Wood Group Business Ethics document by Hernando, witnessed by all attendants. This was significant in driving home the message that, in the midst of healthy professional competition, one and all are still being governed and are expected to adhere to the standards of business etiquettes in the interest of fairness for those involved.
