They will be integrated into SKSWood’s work culture; everyday work responsibilities, accountabilities, corporate activities and the like.

To kick start the program, an introductory briefing was held at the SKSW HQ. The briefing was conducted by Hernando Caceres (Commercial / Delivery Assurance Manager), Hj. Mohd. Musa Bin Hj. Suhaili (Business Development & External Affairs Manager), Helen Yap (Finance Manager) and Marjory Toidy (Human Resources Manager). The 6 trainees are: Nuramalina Hj. This program would help bolster SKSWood’s Bruneianisation visions. On an annual average, SKSWood takes in 6 local graduates as work attachments for the duration of half a year. After which time, considering the individual’s work progress, they will be provided the option to continue as permanent personnel or view the corporate as a stepping stone towards other career options.

SKSWood, being one of the country’s largest subcontractors in the oil and gas industry, hopes to provide a comprehensive and transparent work culture and arm the trainees with suitable work ethics, which will be highly applicable even after their tenure with the company.

SKSWood has managed to incorporate a more wholesome work culture whilst fulfilling the work tasks and responsibilities. Such instances as fulfilling the HSE commitments, the company regularly holds sporting activities or “Healthy Lifestyle Programs” and takes part within the district communities’ sporting activities.
