human, financial and technological resources are provided for the active management and maintenance of

Personal Responsibility
All personnel undertaking activities on behalf of SKSWood recognize their responsibility to:
• Comply with applicable HSE legislation, regulations, standards, codes of practice of SKSWood & client
management systems;
• Behave in a manner that promotes a “safety first” culture;
• Intervene any situation that has the potential to adversely affect the health and safety of personnel and/or
the environment;
• Regardless of rank or title all personnel shall display positive attitude towards matters concerning health,
safety and environment.
Accountability
At all levels of SKSWood we are accountable for providing personnel with a working environment that:
• Acknowledges and rewards positive safety and environmental performance;
• Places safety before production and prevails over all other business activities;
• Recognizes that working in a safe environment is a right not a privilege;
• Strives for best practice using legislation as the minimum standard;
• Creates a safety culture where people are empowered to act in a pro-active manner
Risk Management
In all areas of business risk will be controlled to as low as reasonably practicable through:
• Designs that recognize, include and apply safe practice during preparation, construction and subsequent
operational use and maintenance, and consider lifecycle, environmental impact including
decommissioning and disposal;
• Apply reasonable standards and regulations do not exist;
• All personnel shall be given the knowledge and the resources to identify hazards and act in a manner in
which to eliminate or control them;
• Allocate adequate time and safety leadership to use the risk management system.
Learning culture
To achieve continuous improvement in the areas of occupation safety and environment personnel will be
required to grow their knowledge base through active learning and training. SKSWood is committed to
investing time and capital to ensure that all personnel are:
• Equipped with the skills required to undertake tasks safely;
• Remain informed about changes to legislation, standards and codes of practice;
• Share information via regular meetings, consultation and educational forums
One Consistent Approach
Through the development of project specific health, safety and environment systems will achieve HSE
objectives and targets designed to protect people, environment and assets across all areas of operation.
The SKSWood contract Representative is accountable to SKSWood Board of Directors for ensuring that
this policy is implemented throughout SKSWood operations. I give my personal commitment to promote
effective implementation of this policy. This policy will be reviewed every 2 years.
